Arts College , Savlaj was established in June 1991 to cater the need of rural students Shri. R.R. Patil (former Deputy chief minister and Home Minister Govt. of Maharashtra ) has a lions share in the growth and development of this college. It has been renamed as Shri. Raosaheb Ramrao Patil Mahavidyalaya in February 2009. The vision envisaged by Shri.
R.R.Patil to provide quality education to the disadvantaged and poor people become reality. The college is relentlessly striving in the pursuance of academic excellence and encourages the students to participate spontaneously in various co-curricular and extra- curricular activities.
